Poha is basically Flattened rice and it is known with different names in different parts of India .It is called Avalakki in Kannada,Atukulu in Telgu, Aval in Tamil. In this Rice is Boiled and then flattened, so it required very less cooking time and it gets soften immediately after socking in water(either hot or normal). It is very light and wholesome food. It is good source of antioxidants and carbohydrates and iron. It is rich in fibers as well. The second ingredient is potato, which is available worldwide round the year and can make delicious treats.
